Connecting and Responding 

Our Informal Curriculum is subtitled ‘Connecting and Responding’. This is to establish its core role in eliciting reactions, building relationships, establishing preferences, finding motivators, developing interests, supporting curiosity and encouraging intrigue and exploration.

 

The curriculum areas within our Informal Curriculum address the priority areas relating to the development of young people with PMLD:

 

  • Communication

  • Cognition

  • Self-care 

  • Independence
