Our Adventurer Curriculum starts with understanding the individual needs of the children. We plan and implement opportunities for pupils to develop a deeper understanding of a wider range of curriculum areas. Lessons are carefully sequenced following our learning ladders to ensure maximum progression for each individual child’s journey.

We strive to have a total communication environment so that pupils can develop their vocabulary, comprehension and conversation skills. They will be supported to answer questions to demonstrate their understanding. This may include discussions to support further thinking and develop problem solving skills.

Every child is enabled to be more independent in every aspect of their life. We enable pupils to access the community and local environment to enhance their learning experiences.

Pupils develop their personal skills as well as progressing academically. We teach children to be mindful of their own regulation needs, and how to implement strategies to support themselves to be happy and ready for learning.
