PE & Sports Grant

This money has been used to fund a Swimming Teacher for two day a week, a Dance teacher for one term and extra Teaching Assistants to enable pupils to access lessons. New resources have been purchased to aid the delivery of both swimming and PE lessons.

The Impact has been that it has enabled the school to have more cohesive groups of children swimming across Key Stages rather than Class Groups. There is evidence of improvement of pupil’s swimming skills shown by the progress pupils have made against the school’s swimming checklist. Improvement of staff’s confidence and knowledge from working alongside the Swimming Teacher is also evident.

Teachers who worked alongside the Dance teacher to develop their music and dance teaching skills and were supported by the dance teacher to plan and improve lessons which has offered better lessons for pupils going forwards.
