This term in Red class our themed curriculum is Inventors and Inventions from 1940-1980. The children have enjoyed our Science lessons, using the microwave to cook gingerbread and meringues. In PSHE we have been learning about people who keep us safe. They were particularly interested in identifying people who keep us safe in school, showing instant recognition of the members of staff in Red class and key members of staff around the school. In the second half of the term the whole school are working on the theme of Our World. In Red class our theme will be Recycling. We will be asking for recycled contributions to make models and structures as well as making things to help us care for the environment, planting bulbs and making bug hotels, as the Spring approaches.
Our P.E. remains on a Monday and Dance on a Wednesday. Thursday is still our swimming day. The children are doing very well with their individual physical programs.
We always like to hear of activities your child has done at home, please do tell us in the home school diary.
With very best wishes from us all in Red Team
Sharon, Nike, Kham, Charlene, Carole and Matthew
