Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Closed

Exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistant required to work with children with severe learning difficulties, sensory impairment, physical difficulties, ASD, PMLD and complex medical needs.

Level 4- To support the smooth running of the school by completing some regular organisational tasks within the school, this may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and report on pupils achievement, progress and development.

Permanent Contract – 35 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Salary: Level 4 Spine Point  26 – 28   £27,402 - £29, 010 (pro rata)

We are looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants with:

  • Organisation Skills
  • Energy and enthusiasm for their role
  • Commitment to a pupil centred philosophy
  • Experience of working in Special or Mainstream Education - Experience in working with children with complex medical needs would be welcome
  • A desire to motivate and inspire all pupils
  • Excellent classroom practice
  • The ability to take responsibility for supporting teachers in the delivery of pupil’s education
  • The ability to carry through some aspects the daily organisation of staffing, for example daily lunchtime organisation
  • The ability to work across the school in any classes as required
  • A flexible approach to meet changing priorities
