Delay in the move to our new school in streatham

I am really sorry and disappointed to convey this news to you but due to the recent adverse weather conditions the building work at the new school site is running behind schedule.

Dear Parents and Carers

Re:     Delay in the move to our New School in Streatham

I am really sorry and disappointed to convey this news to you but due to the recent adverse weather conditions the building work at the new school site is running behind schedule.  The recent months of rain and storms have taken their toll and had a major effect on the progress of the building as it only had a partial roof.  The builders have desperately tried to dry all the flooded areas but to no avail and the building work remains some weeks delayed.

This unfortunately has now affected our planned move to the new school in September as the building will not be finished in time for us to be able to move during the Summer Holidays.

The new move date will therefore be during the Autumn Term near the half term break in October/November.  This means that your child will be returning to the existing Mandrell Road Livity site in September.

This news also means that I will be cancelling the June 21st Celebration Day and will look to re-instate it in the Autumn.

I will continue to inform you about the progress of the new school via the Newsletter and the Website but hope that when I see you all at the Summer Parent’s Evening on Tuesday 17th July, I will present you with an update and a film showing the development of the building.

In the meantime you are more than welcome to visit the new school site from the viewing platform which has been installed, on Tuesday 29th May.  This visit will be organised by Pat Kavarana.

Yours faithfully

Geraldine Lee
