Important changes at the Livity School
There are some significant changes coming to The Livity School.
Dear Parents and Carers,
It is with regret that I am writing to inform you that our Headteacher, Geraldine Lee, will be leaving The Livity School at the end of the term. Geraldine and her husband have been given a wonderful opportunity to work on an exciting project in America. I know that for many of you this will come as a huge surprise as Geraldine IS The Livity School and has supported you and the children in so many ways.
Geraldine has been Head teacher for 12 years and in that time has developed the school to become what it is today as confirmed by our most recent OFSTED report - a 'good' school. It is through Geraldine's vision, determination and hard work that the new school has been designed and built and this will go on making a difference into the future.
Geraldine has developed a strong and committed team who will ensure that the school will continue to serve children, families and the community well. Carol Argent, our dedicated Deputy Head of 12 years, has agreed to take on the role of Acting Head Teacher whilst we recruit to the position which we hope will be early next year. I want to reassure you that there will be no change in the quality of the care and education of the children and that I and the Governors are committed to working together and supporting Carol to continue the school's success. I will continue to keep you fully informed.
I am sure, that like me and the Governors, you will wish Geraldine well for her exciting future and can assure you that various opportunities will be made to do this with her in person later in the term.
With best wishes
Chair of Governors
